Gulmohur School Jamshedpur Principal Priti Sinha Receives National Sri Sri Award for Excellence in Teaching
The principal of Gulmohar High School, Priti Sinha, has been honored with the prestigious Nation Sri Sri Award for the best teacher (East Zone) at a ceremony in Bangalore. This is the first time that an educator from Jamshedpur has received this honor. The process of selection involved a thorough evaluation of candidates. Moreover, only four educators nationwide received recognition in the Best Teacher category.
The award was distributed by Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. She was given a shield, a certificate, and fifty-one thousand rupees as an honor. This award was presented at the national level, and its main objective was to encourage excellence in education. This award is given to those individuals who incorporate ancient knowledge with the latest methods, holistic development and 21st-century skills in modern education.

About Priti Sinha
Priti Sinha is a local of Jharkhand. She is the school principal at Gulmohar High School. She holds a 1991-1994 bachelor’s degree in zoology. She completed her degree from Patna Women’s College. She has many skills, including educational technology, teacher training, curriculum design, curriculum development, instructional design, e-learning, educational leadership, staff development, teaching, and classroom. Priti was the primary head at Gulmohar High School from 2009 to 2019 and then became principal in April 2019 and is currently playing that role.
Priti Sinha is a quality assessor, and she has evaluated and assessed more than 20 schools, guaranteeing they meet the highest educational and operational standards in my role as the leader of the steering committee for the Tata Education Excellence Programme (TEEP). She has provided counseling services to children, adolescents, teachers and parents, supporting their academic and personal growth. Priti has brought international exposure from her nomination for the UKIERI (United Kingdom India Education and Research Initiative) program in 2009, where I engaged in cross-learning and development opportunities in Wales, United Kingdom.
